Remember a few weeks back when I was stuck on the couch and wrote my red & aqua post? Well, I lucked out. First of all, a very thoughtful Mr. Simplify (oooh, he is going to love that I called him that) surprised me with this beautiful red bracelet:
Then Andrea from Knitty Bitties contacted me and offered to give away one of her fantastic red and aqua camera strap covers to one of you lucky girls. So I guess it turns out that we are both pretty lucky, you and me.
You might also remember how great the camera strap picture I posted (okay, stole) was. Well, the one I posted about is long gone, but... (I have to admit) the one she made for the giveaway is even more fabulous.
See? YUM. What do you need to do to win? Just check out her etsy store, and leave a comment saying what your favorite item is, and...your favorite color(s). If you want 3 extra entries, either blog about it or buy something from the knittybitties etsy store. And of course, let me know. (To keep things easy please leave a separate comment for each entry.) Then check back on Monday to see if you are the winner. Simple as that.
As always, here's mine... I'm Camille, and I need one of those aqua/red camera straps! Or maybe a buttercup bag... too much good stuff to pick from. Big surprise, favorite colors are (obviously) aqua and red. Especially in polka dot form... yum.
Lots of yum today. Come to think of it, time for dinner. Any ideas?
(Please ignore all grammar/punctuation on this post. Please? Thanks.)
If there was a WBE award (Worst Blogger Ever), I would get it. I know. I've been AWFUL about updating my blog. Is anybody even reading this anymore?? I'll be better, I promise!
The last few weeks have been insane, to say the least....
- Got 4 new patterns ALMOST ready to go.
- Took a last minute trip up to Idaho (aka summer heaven) and played our guts out for almost a week. Think raspberries, cousins, boating, hot dog roasting, camping out, and learning to crochet. (wohoo!) It was PERFECT.
- Also, I water skied twice and every muscle in my body is still screaming.
- Been taking pictures like a crazy woman for all kinds of random things.
- Got the secret project out the door (PHEW.)
- Sewing, sewing, sewing and sewing.
- and last but not least, sent my little kindergartener off to school. Only a few tears. (mine, not his)
That last one was the worst.
So anyway, just trying to stay afloat! I've got lots of stuff coming up in the next little while, and in a few days there will be a fun little surprise, so come back soon. Did I mention Simple Abundance is right around the corner?? Can't wait for that!
Well, better go. I've got a quilt to make. Before yesterday.
I'm sure this won't surprise you, as it is nothing new, but things have been CRAZY around here. Getting ready for school, getting new patterns ready, getting really sick of the HEAT, you know, just typical August. 'Staying busy' is an understatement. 'Trying to stay sane' is more like it. Not that I'm complaining. I like it this way. At least I think I do! I can't wait to show you what I've been working on....
Oh, before I forget, the winner from the last post is...
Emily who loves it when her husband surprises her and helps around the house. I love that too. (hint hint ;-) Do you think I can get her to send me some of those snickerdoodles? YUM.
Congrats Emily! Email me your info [camille(at)thimbleblossoms(dot)com] and I'll get that right out. Thanks to everybody who played along, it was so fun to read all of your comments. And the jokes, oh my- the jokes... love it!
I know someone who has a gift. Well, lots of gifts, but one in particular that is especially applicable today (try saying that 5 times fast!). I don't know how she does it, but I think it has something to do with seeing into the future 6 days. Let me explain.
6 days ago I posted that I was couch bound, you may remember.
Well, since then, my back is just about back to normal, but today... you know, just one of THOSE days. I'm sure none of you know what I mean by that, and that you are all perfectly cheery each and every day. Yeah, me...too... Anyway, today took a turn right around 12:40.
See, a little package arrived at my doorstep, along with the typical double ring that lets me know it's the mysterious UPS guy (who is always magically back in his truck driving away before I can get the door open?) and what was inside? Some cheery little magnets (note the red and aqua!) and a card from that someone, with a simple 'Hope you get feeling better' inside.
Perfect timing. And this is not the first time this has happened, I'm telling you, she has a gift.
Not to mention, you guys! Thanks for all the nice comments you left on the last post, and for all the love. So sweet of you!
So to spread the love, a mini-giveaway is in order. Just a fun little Arcadia honey bun and a Pint-sized pattern. Maybe I'll even throw in a charm pack. Or some treats... I do like treats. Just tell me what cheers YOU up. Or a funny joke if you've got one? Oh c'mon, you know you've got one... and I know you love a little surprise in the mail as much as I do. Who doesn't?
You know what, Lissa? I do feel better! Also, I will be taking your expert advice and getting a manicure (or pedicure- did you see my sad toes?!) and a really cute helmet. ;-)
Anyway, my back went out on me (again!) and I'm just sitting here staring at my feet. Luckily for you, this time I've got a laptop to keep me company instead of a camera. So I'm just enjoying a little 'red & aqua' search on Etsy....
