So what is the best way to deal with being overwhelmed? Well, start a new project, of course. (I'm a smart one...) One thing that has been on my list since we moved into this house was to swap out the carpet in my little studio for some pretty dark wood. And yesterday, that dream became a (faux) reality. Faux wood, that is. (Thank you Costco!)
Jarom and I? Not exactly what you would call 'handy' in the home improvement department. This is, after all, our first house. We have a lot to learn. But I'm proud to say that the floor is almost done, and we are still speaking, not to mention have all of our fingers. So that's good.
One last tricky row to go. And new baseboards. Then moving the mountains of fabric and ric rac and quilting books and rulers and... all of that stuff back in. Without Jarom noticing how much there is. Think there's any chance of that happening?
The only problem now? (Besides my sore knees and back) When the cleaner half of my downstairs looks like this:

I feel a little like this:
Be back soon with pictures.
Wish me luck...
...and fingers. I like having fingers.
