Before I say one more thing, I just want to thank you- all of you- for all of your sweet comments, thoughtful emails, and excitement over all the beans. I just can't thank you enough. So hopefully, this will do for now:
Thank you :-)
Now you know why I've been on the verge of crazy for a while now! I promise I have been sewing up a storm over here, designing, writing, staying up late, working hard, all of that. Even when it seemed like I wasn't doing anything. Secrets are the worst!
So glad all the beans are spilled.
One night a couple of weeks ago I was swamped with book stuff, Quilt Show stuff, fabric stuff, Creative Connection stuff, and WWC stuff. So I did what any normal person would do.
I went to Home Depot fifteen minutes before closing and bought a couple of gallons of gray paint, fresh rollers and brushes, and primer. On the way home, I stopped at Target and bought a couple of solid green bedspreads, a little green lamp, some fresh knobs for a thrifted dresser that was living the the garage, and a Dr. Pepper.
I drove home and pulled the kids out of their beds, put them in the guest room, moved all the furniture and started painting. Adios blue! (Sorry, but I never liked you.)
It is amazing what some fresh paint can do for the soul.
Definitely stayed up too late that night, but 24 hours later everything was in its place, I had less stress, sore arms, (a happy soul), and one gray room. Or grey. I'm not really sure which, to tell you the truth.
Next up? Wild Thing quilts for both boys beds in greens, grays, a bit of black, a little blue, and gray Moda Bella Solid backs. I'll keep you posted.
So, what does your stress relief look like?
Apparently, mine is gray. :-)
