Good news!

It's a...

BOY!  Which makes 3 little men in the Roskelley household. Technically, 5 males counting Jarom and Max.  I am going to be seriously outnumbered.  And I couldn't be happier about it!  Not to mention, a little relieved, as I have been secretly buying (and hiding) tiny little boy clothes all over the house, and already bought the fabric (and paint!) for a tiny little boy nursery.  I can't wait to get started on a his room!  This is the first time I'll be able to paint, decorate, and have an actual designated nursery.  In fact, my new boy quilt, Coming Soon (above), may or may not have been made for said designated nursery months ago.  I just... knew.  And gosh, I love my boys.  

As far as names go, the boys have it narrowed down to three:

Harry Potter Roskelley

 Ben 10 Roskelley

 

and their original pick, The Hulk Roskelley (which they assured me at the time could be used for a boy or a girl.)

 

I'm leaning toward The Hulk.

Yesterday/Tomorrow/Today

(Please excuse the typo in the title today.  Yes, I'm that tired.)

Yesterday I noticed Mr. Kindergarten's to-do list on the chalkboard.  (He may have inherited his love of to-do lists from me, but I promise I had nothing to do with this.)

translation:  29 June 2010-  Rub mom's feet

Also tomorrow, we should find out what the baby is.  Any guesses?  Name suggestions?

Also of note, today my littlest man turned 5.  Toy Story 3 and Yogurtland to celebrate.  Hopefully it will pull me out of my "my baby is growing up too fast" funk.  Doubt it.

So yeah, pretty good day today.  

And a pretty good tomorrow to go with it.  

Caught up-ish

Oops!  I meant to come back the next day and post a winner, but apparently I got caught up getting that quilt finished (it's at the quilter- phew!) and... eating.  Yeah, my life pretty much revolves around food right now. (A couple of extra glasses of low fat milk and sunflower seeds, my left foot!)

Today I feel caught up.  Ish.  Sewing is caught up, orders are caught up, bathrooms and kitchen are... well, terrifying, but I'll just ignore that for now.  I loved hearing what all of your todays look like, and wish I could send some Bliss to all of you.  But a trip to the RNG, and a lot of counting, and it turns out Joscelyn has some Bliss coming her way.  Joscelyn, email me at camille(at)thimbleblossoms(dot)com and I'll get those right fat quarters right out to you.  Trust me, we'll definitely do this again in the future.  I have a mountain of Bliss scraps that could probably use a good home as well.  Well, more like ten good homes.  I'll keep you posted.

Speaking of Bliss, rumor has it that Fat Quarter Shop has a few Moda Candy Bars left with a bit of Bliss in them, they also have really pretty graphics.  See?  

 

I am having a hard time convincing myself that I don't need a Moda Candy Bar of my own...  not sure how much longer I can hold out.  For the time being, a regular old candy bar might have to do.  Oooh, and a sno cone.  And some broccoli cheese soup and breadsticks... mmmm... or a Jimmy Johns Turkey Tom...

A lot on my mind these days...

*I'm extra behind on blogging.  Do I just skip everything I've missed and just start from here?

*(If you are a vegetarian, you may want to skip this one) Why do I want to eat meat for 8 meals a day?  Really, I can't get enough.  I told Jarom to skip the present this year, all I want for my birthday is a really delicious ribeye.  I mean it.

*Why in the world do I live somewhere that 107 degrees is common?

*I hope everybody at Quilt Market didn't think I was cranky.  I really wasn't feeling well, I promise!  Next time I'll have more energy/be more chatty/not bolt to the bathroom as much.  :-)

*Why isn't my to-do list shrinking?  Actually, it just appears to be growing.  

*I justify my late night cookies and milk/ice cream by telling myself the baby needs calcium.  

*Did I leave my Nikon charger in Minneapolis?  My camera is dead.  Dead-dead.  

*I love twitter.  It is so easy.  And fast.  And entertaining!

*I can't recall the last time I went inside a grocery store...  Yikes. (thank you husband!)

*There is nothing on TV.  Soooo glad I DVR'ed the whole season of Modern Family to enjoy all summer.  

*I got rid of pretty much all of my baby stuff after Canon (it was a space thing).  Except for my crib.  But he chewed the stain off the top of both ends down to bare wood when he was teething (gross, I know).  Do I try to paint the crib or just give up and get a new one?

*Umm... maybe I should unpack my suitcases from Market?  Yes?

*What in the world am I going to do if this baby is a girl??

That pretty much sums up my Saturday night.
