A couple of weeks ago, I had a particularly exciting mail day in the middle of a particularly busy mom day. The fall issue of Where Women Create landed on my step right before we headed off for a day of doctor appointments, kindergarten shots, Canon traumatically losing a sticker in Target, 87 errands, etc. It was a crazy day. And now that I think about it, pretty much every day since then has been about the same amount of crazy in one way or another.
Maybe that is why I am slow getting around to talking about it, or maybe its because although it is exciting, I always feel a little silly talking about things like this? Probably a little of both. But since today looks more like this:
and I have a little time to catch up, (and an extra boost of confidence from my brother-in-law telling me that I looked a little bit tan after our trip to Idaho- thanks Jake!) today was a good day to post about it. (In case you haven't noticed, I do not tan. At all.)
Anyhow, a few months back, Where Women Create contacted me about being in the August issue. I was a little nervous, as my studio is neither large nor fancy, but decided to go for it anyway. I'm so glad I did! They sent a great photographer out to photograph me and my studio a week or two later, (the day before I left for San Francisco actually) and that was that. It was crazy! In a good way.
It really was a lot of fun working with everyone on the feature, and I am so pleased with how it turned out. I just feel so honored to be included with such amazing women.
Thank you so much to Jo and everyone over at WWC for all your hard work to make me look good, and for everyone over here that helped clean-clean (Jarom), make extra messes (kids), watch the munchkins before/during the shoot so the messes could be cleaned up (Michelle), those who sent goodies (Lissa & Cheryl), and the last minute haircut (Jenna). I owe you guys.
I ended up with an extra copy of the magazine, so if you would like it and a little Bliss charm pack to go with it, say hello, and it might be headed your way.
Good luck! And one more thanks to everyone for making this possible. I feel so lucky. Crazy, but lucky.
Happy Friday!
