Well, Hello! Glad you made it. Today is my day for the Moda Pillow Talk Blog Hop, and I am happy to say I actually finished my pillow, despite a craaazy weekend. No Target pillows to show you today (Phew!)
In case you are visiting for the first time, here's a little bit about me. My name is Camille Roskelley. I am 27 years old, married to Jarom and mom of three little hooligans. Life with three boys has been interesting so far, and it's only been 8 weeks. I wouldn't trade it for anything though, because I love all my boys. Even Max, our 90 pound yellow lab.

I started my own company, Thimble Blossoms back in 2007, and it has been a busy 4 years to say the least. In fact, 4 seems to be the number for me this year. It's been 4 years since I started Thimble Blossoms and I've designed 40 patterns, just finished up my 4th line of fabric for Moda, and have a 4th baby on the way (ha! just teasing). So when I started making my pillow, I went with the whole 4 thing. In fact, the 4 blocks that make up the pillow center are from my Wild Thing pattern, which is my favorite pattern to make. Besides, wild pretty much sums up my life right now. Crazy might be a better word, but lets go with wild in an attempt to tie this all together.
My favorite colors are red and aqua plus a little (okay, a lot of) gray, and Bliss is my favorite line we've done so far. So much so, that we decided to do a bit of a follow up to Bliss for our next line, Ruby. (If you look really close you might notice just a titch of Ruby in that pillow...)
The (crooked) buttons on the back represent each member of our little family with their favorite color. Sorry the buttons are crooked, but I had about 30 seconds to sew on 5 buttons and had a baby in my arms. I promise we aren't crooked. That part wasn't intentional.
And of course the whole thing is pretty simple. That's kind of a thing with me. I like simple.
So, that's my pillow. Hope you like it. If you don't, please don't tell me. ;-)
Now on to those Pillow Talk questions...
What is a little known fact about yourself?
I am quite possibly the least coordinated person on the planet. Seriously. A few weeks ago I started going to Zumba with some friends and I love it. Am I the least coordinated person there? Absolutely. But I learned something new about myself, I don't mind making an idiot of myself in front of 100 people as much as I thought I would!
How do you relax?
Something along the lines of pj's, Dr. Pepper, Friends or HIMYM reruns, Reeses, a favorite quilt, and the couch.
What do you sleep in - PJ's or NightGown?
I love me some flannel or fleece two-piecers, like these from Christmas last year:
What kind of pillow do you like, Hard or soft, foam or feather? And why?
Soft, feathery, and thanks to my mother, covered in Moda Snuggles. She made us pillowcases last Christmas, and I'm pretty sure we'll never take them off.
When you were young did you sleep with a stuffed animal? If so what?
I had a stuffed cat that my mom made me when I was 8ish, I think.
Believe it or not, I had a matching jumper. But that is a picture you'll never see.
Do you sew in bed? Read? Watch TV? eat?
Nope, no sewing in bed for me. The husband is too scared of pins and needles being lost in there (wimp). But I do watch Friends. Every night.
How many nights have you or your spouse spent on the couch?
Well, right now we have a newborn, so most nights are at least partial couch. Before that? A few... ;-)
Nighttime toddy?
What's a toddy??
Early to bed or all-nighter?
Alllll-nighter. *sigh* One of these days, I am going to get some sleep!
Who would you most like to have a pillow fight with?
Hmm.. that's a tough one. I'll get back to you on that.
To follow in the footsteps of the lovely ladies before (and after) me, I am also doing a giveaway (thank you Moda!). One lucky winner will be taking home this Bliss fat quarter bundle. Well technically they will be getting it in the mail. You just have to tell me how long you've been quilting. Deal?
To reward you regulars, you can get one extra entry if you've ever left a comment on my blog in the past. Just leave a second comment to let me know. The winner will be announced on Feb 16.
Don't forget to stop by all the blogs on the hop and say hello. Definitely say hello. People love that. In fact, Barb and Mary's day is tomorrow and I'm very curious to see what they have to say. Those girls are a hoot!
Thanks for stopping by. Happy hopping, and good luck!
