We've been doing a lot of sewing over here. Blogging not so much, but sewing has been crazy lately. Here's the really quick rundown via Instagram.
I have had so many sewers over here the last year or so I finally broke down and bought a second machine. So far, so good. She's a Bernina 1008, and is fully mechanical. No computer. She has a great stitch, is all metal, and is a keeper.
Jarom (my husband) decided he wanted to see what it was like to sew on. So, for the first time ever, he sewed.
It was adorable. (Don't tell him I said that.) Also, he was quite good. He made the family a set of bean bags. Also adorable. Sorry hun.
This little dude has been sewing too. I asked him how his seam allowance was and he said "Well, you can take a look, but I'd say it's perfect." He takes it very seriously :-)
Since he was sewing, naturally his little brother wanted to also. That littlest one is just in there making trouble. (The block hanging from the jelly rolls is Jarom's first attempt at half square triangles and free-motion quilting. And yes, he hung it there.)
Sure love my house full of boys. Who said only girls can sew?
As for me, I got my Summersville quilt basted and even made some progress with the quilting. It's only about 1/3 of the way done, but I'm using the dogwood quilting tutorial from Oh Fransson and it is crazy fun. Even though my sholders are very sore.
And made a few baby quilts/race car tracks.
This one has nothing to do with this post, but oh well. It's my favorite.
So is sewing. Have I mentioned that?
Good night!
