Hello there! So I've had 3 sick kids in the past 6 days. It's been lovely over here. But I think one more day and we'll have put this behind us. At least I hope so.
Here's a few things I've been meaning to mention, and Instagram photos to go with them. Most of them were taken when it was dark. Sorry. :-)
(This is from my booth last spring. Please squint really hard and pretend its my fall booth.) Thanks. ;-)
*Several of you have asked if I'm going to Quilt Market in Houston. I'm not. Boo. I mean, on one hand it is waaaay less work to miss it than to go, but once I see all the fun everyone is having I always wish I had gone. Way back when I started my business, I made a decision to only do Spring Market while my kids are small. I'm sticking to it. But they are getting bigger, right? ;-)
*No, we don't have a new fabric line showing at Quilt Market, but will have one to show in December. Should be exciting. It's different for us, I hope you like it!
(One of my mom's new patterns, I want this quilt.)
*I'm not releasing new patterns at Market either, since I'm not going and don't have new fabric but my mom (the over-achiever) has some lovely new patterns out of Marmalade, which is my next bullet. (Nice work, mom!)
(Pretty Marmalade bundles)
*Marmalade is shipping this week! As in, yardage will be available in quilt shops everywhere, and in online shops soon. Very soon. Did that wait seem especially long to anyone else? Or maybe I'm just impatient. Yes, that. In case you've forgotten, here are the quilts I designed to go with Marmalade back in the spring.
*My sewing goals may seem to be on the back burner, but are actually going well. And yes, I have been sewing a lot. I'm hand quilting my farmer's wife quilt, actually. Which means there isn't a ton of progress to show. (Plus I forgot to take photos of the quilt top before I basted it and only have the IG photos above... oops)
(One of the blocks in progress. I'm certainly no hand quilting expert, but I'm learning!)
The photo at the top of the post shows a little more of the quilting. Gosh, I'm enjoying it. Putting on my pjs and sitting on the couch to stitch after a long day is just about the best thing ever. I'm in love.
*Oh, and then this little bitty thing. I was featured on House of Turquoise last week.
See how I'm acting all calm about it? Yeah, I'm still freaking out. Such an honor to be featured on one of my favorite blogs, even if I do stick out like a sore thumb. Thank you so much Erin!
Well, that pretty much sums it up. I think. Did I forget something?
I haven't slept in a week, I'm sure I forgot something. Which is better than everything, I guess.
Happy Monday!
