How is it possible that January is half over? It just started! I've been filling orders as quickly as I can trying to keep up, and I'm so thankful for for each of you and the kind words you had to say about the new patterns. Really, thank you so much. Almost 6 years ago I released my first set of patterns and it took 3 days to get a comment on that post, so I certainly apprecaite each of you taking the time to say hello.
I know everybody says this, and I'm sure they all mean it as much as I do, but I wish I could send each of you some Happy-go-lucky, truly I do! We'll work on that. ;-) But for now, Michelle send me an email with your info and you'll be getting some sent your way soon. If you'd like another chance to get your hands on happy-go-lucky, my mom is giving some away over at her blog and showing her 7 (yes, she's an overachiever!) new patterns. This ironing board cover one is my favorites:
It also happens to be one of my favorite Christmas gifts this year. I think she felt bad for me and the brown iron shaped burn marks on my old cover. Thanks mom!! I'll try to be a more responsible iron-er in the future.
(the cute little boxy bag holds my binding supplies and was made my cute friend Sherri. Thanks Sherri!!)
I've been working like crazy trying to get everything done and get ready for some other fun things coming up soon, but I managed to sqeeze in a few scrappy trip blocks here and there.
If you are on Instagram you've probably seen these popping up everywhere as part of a spur of the moment quilt along. (They are all tagged with #scrappytripalong if you want to take a look)
Anyhow, last night I decided to take advantage of a quiet Sunday night and sewed my 36 blocks together and quilted it. This quilt uses 214 different fabrics (I think) and I only used 2 fabrics twice (oops). I used mainly fabrics my mom and I designed but have a lot of other favorite fabrics in there too. I just need to get a binding (aqua bella solid) put on this next time I have a few extra minutes and I'll be set. Right after I finish the final edit on this:
(Yay! More info and an unfortunate recoloring of the cover here)
Have a wonderful day!
