Guess what! I'm done! Well, with my new patterns, that is. Quilt Market is next weekend, and I have one last minute quilt to bind and booth stuff to pull together (not to mention a badly needed haircut to fit in) but I'm so happy to finally have patterns all ready to go!
I know you are probably scrolling through this, so I'll get to why you are here. Photos!
Okay, so first of all, our new line, if you missed it, is called April Showers. Which is how this quilt came about. Meet Raincheck:
A delightful umbrella quilt using two different (and easy) types of applique, one for the umbrellas and one for the handles. It is made from one fat eighth bundle and a few extra fat quarters in matching solids and measures 56" x 70".
My local quilter, Andrea Marquez, quilted it and did an AMAZING job. She quilted something different in each background and I couldn't love it more. Thank you so much Andrea!
Next up is Puddle Jumping:
I think this one was my favorite quilt to make this time.
These big 15" rolling stone blocks are so fun to sew and come together so easily. I love the little 4 patch in the middle! I made the blue and green version on the pattern cover, but there are two versions in the pattern.
Puddle jumping is made from 16 fat quarters and is 75" x 75". Abby quilted it with my favorite baptist fan (you remember Abby, right? She's awesome!) and it turned out exactly they way I hoped. Thanks Abby!
The third new pattern is Starlight:
This Jelly Roll quilt comes together so easily with no Y-seams, and lots of chain piecing and strip piecing.
There are two versions on this cover too, this green one, which I made (and Abby quilted) and the navy and white one Sherri just finished up (I'll show you as soon as I have it quilted and bound). I couldn't choose between them! Oh, and this one is 66" x 70". Perfect throw size.
And last but not least,
Rainy Day Sewing!
These little sewing pouches and pin cushion are the perfect charm square or scrap projects. I can't seem to stop making them! There is a smaller patchwork one and a larger raindrop one. Did you see the little pincushion has a striped raindrop on it?
I made them out of April Showers first, and then I made another raindrop bag with some linen and happy-go-lucky on the back, and a patchwork one made from a combo of Ruby, April Showers and Scrumptious. I'll show you those as soon as I get some good photos.
Annnnd.... I may have a few others cut out and ready to sew. Did I mention my mom already made a set? If you are scared of zippers, you won't be after making a few of these. They are a piece of cake!
Well, there you have it. About a million hours worth of drawing, sewing, writing, and proofing all condensed into a few (too many?) photos and a blog post. Crazy how that works. :-)
Anyway, I hope you like them! They are all available in the shop, in pretty full glossy color, or as instant PDFs.
Oh, and I'll be back next week with some other fun news. Finally! I'll give you a hint. It rhymes with Graftsy. Well, if Graftsy was a word. ;-) See you then!
